Some online publications like Wall Street Journal requires premium membership for their news articles. In other words, you can read their publications only if you subscribe for it. Although Wall Street Journal has some free content too but all the premium content is behind a “pay-wall” and you should be a paid subscriber to read them.
Since these sites are part of the First Click Free program, visitors coming through search engines can read the first page of the story without subscribing.
But apparently due to some bug in the implementation, you can still access the paid content for free:
- Copy the URL of the article you are trying to read (and requires subscription).
- Paste it into Google search box and click the first result that appears.
